Hoppa Street Buggy

The Hoppa has been designed to bring the "Beach Buggy" well into the millenium and to keep up with automotive trends in design, yet remaining faithful to the original concepts of the sixties and seventies.

Nothing can replace the simplicity of the early buggies, in particular the Meyers "Manx", which is still recognised today as the classic "must have" among buggy enthusiasts. Understated design, classic lines and classic proportion, things which were very much unlike many cars of its time.

When the buggy came out it was designed for a lifestyle, now, people are looking for a lifestyle vehicle to be seen in, and what better, funkier car than a buggy. You automatically think of sun, sea, surf and a way of life that was enjoyed by so many people in sunnier climes (California being the prime example). This is where the passion came from to bring the buggy bang up to date.

People are constantly bringing out new buggy designs, however, they are all heavily influenced from the buggies of the sixties and seventies - there have been no major changes in styling for over thirty years.

The Hoppa Street Buggy has been purposely designed to retain the classic feel of the Manx. Short wheelbase, upright screen, forward stance, exposed engine and styling wise it has been designed to appeal to a new crowd of enthusiast.

The team here at phoenix have worked closely with the designers to ensure the very high build quality of both the chassis and space frame which make this one of the most stable and best handling buggies on the market.
